I am a multimedia journalist and communications professional with a background in journalism, visual storytelling, photography, and video production. My work focuses on storytelling through multimedia content across academic, public sector, and community settings, with an interest in how communication and storytelling can make complex topics more accessible to broader audiences.
I began my career in journalism, where I worked as a multimedia reporter covering governance, public policy, and community issues. Through this work, I conducted interviews, reported on public affairs, and produced written and multimedia content for digital publication. This experience shaped how I approach storytelling today: I am particularly interested in people-centered stories and in documenting institutions, communities, and public initiatives through photography, video, and multimedia content.
In addition to journalism, I have worked in institutional communications in both government and academic environments. I have supported communications and digital content for public programs, academic initiatives, and events, including producing digital content, editing short-form video, supporting event communications, and contributing to outreach and public-facing communications. These experiences have helped me understand how storytelling, visual content, and communication strategies support institutions in sharing their work with broader audiences.
My multimedia work also includes participating in the Salzburg Global Media Academy, where I worked on a multimedia project exploring the coexistence between artificial intelligence and human society through multimedia storytelling, video production, and communications strategy. This experience strengthened my interest in multimedia storytelling that connects technology, society, and public discourse.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Emerson College and I am currently completing a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Columbia University. My academic work focuses on communication, public institutions, and social issues, and my capstone work examines healthcare access and institutional coordination challenges in Puerto Rico. Across my work in journalism, communications, and academic programs, I am interested in how storytelling, communication, and multimedia content can help connect institutions, research, and public understanding.
Overall, my work sits at the intersection of journalism, communications, and public interest storytelling. I am particularly interested in multimedia storytelling in academic, public sector, and research environments, and in using photography, video, and digital media to document people, ideas, and institutional work in ways that are accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
